Preston South Primary School opened in 1866 as a one-room school for thirty students. The school has grown from these humble origins and in 2016 shall celebrate its 150th anniversary.
Preston South School Council has begun planning some high profile events for the school’s 150th birthday.
Saturday 29th October 9-3pm
The countdown is on until our 150th birthday celebration. We are super excited and the weather is looking fantastic for this Saturday 29th October!
Make sure you come down to Preston South PS to view our market stalls, silent auctions and memorabilia display. There will be lots of activities for children facepainting, craft, cupcakes, jumping castle and fairy floss to name a few. There will be great food and more importantly come and see our past and present staff and students!
Birthday Cake at 12:30!
Lets have some fun! We look forward to seeing you all there.
Design a Brick
Design a brick to commemorate your involvement at Preston South. These bricks will then be used at school as a permanent display.
Leading up to 2016, we would love to hear from anyone that has photos, anecdotes, stories or other memorabilia they can share with us about our school or their time as a student here. We are also seeking help identifying children pictured in old photographs from the school.
If you would like to volunteer your time on the day, we would love to have your help!
